Fork Lift Operator Safety

This course, designed for fork lift operators, promotes safety consciousness as well as teaches OSHA safety guidelines for operating fork lifts. Instruction includes classroom training in operator safety, but does not include hands-on training in specific fork lift or operating environment.

Fork Lift Operator Safety Train-the-Trainer Course

($50)
This course covers basic principles of fork lift operator safety needed to meet OSHA requirements for operator certification. In addition, instruction is provided on how to develop and present an operator safety course to other employees. Participants will be able to purchase a video training package with related instructional materials, if desired, from the instructor.

OSHA Compliance Workshop

This workshop covers procedures for OSHA inspections to help companies avoid expensive fines. The same information is covered in this course as the OSHA 10-hour course, but in abbreviated format. Topics include OSHA history and terminology; stages of an OSHA inspection; components of safety plans, policies, and programs; hazardous communications plans; lockout/tagout, first aid, blood-borne pathogens, hearing conservation, fire extinguisher, confined space, and good faith policies; personal protective equipment; safety self-inspection log; OSHA poster; frequently cited standards; employer and employee roles and responsibilities; penalty schedule for violations; 300 log; required compliance training; materials available from OSHA; and how to contact OSHA.

OSHA Record Keeping

($50)
This class begins with an overview of OSHA and record keeping and reporting, and it progresses into more specific record keeping requirements including location of records, retention and maintenance of records, recordable and not recordable incidents, access to OSHA records, correct and incorrect forms, emergency action plans, and others. Each segment of the class includes case studies and specific examples related to OSHA incidents and situations for clarification of requirements.
