Brick & Stone Masonry, Beginning

($55 + $3 supply fee)
Learn a basic overview of bricklaying and stone masonry skills in this course. Emphasis will be placed on methods and materials to complete simple projects. Discussion about tools and demonstrations and their uses will be followed by hands-on training. Cleaning, maintenance, and safety of bricklaying will also be included.

Ladies Bricklaying: Creating Master Patios

($30)
In this bricklaying class for ladies, you will learn to construct your own flower garden walls, garden paths, and walkways. You will be shown several different geometric patterns that can be used in designing your patio area.

Create the area you’ve always wanted in your own backyard. When you have completed the course you will have enough of the basics of bricklaying to tackle other projects at home. Get a group of your friends together and register now.

General Contractor's Licensing Prep.

($60 + rulers)
Covers building technology, terminology, blueprint reading, estimating, building codes, and related topics designed to aid in preparing for the state contractor's licensing exam, residential and light commercial. Testing is done at Sylvan Learning Centers nationwide. A basic package with required materials, texts, forms, blueprints, approved calculator, and additional handouts is available for $275. An optional package that includes the basic package with additional code manuals for specialty areas costs $436. Package available at main campus only.
