The program is divided into four distinct, sequential sections requiring about 2 years to complete. After the first introductory semester students will complete a sequential program that includes wheelwork, glaze chemistry, and firing dynamics. Each course involves two sessions a week: one class, one lab. By the final portion of the program students are expected to have developed a distinctive style of their own and be capable of producing marketable work. Student evaluation is based upon successful completion of course objectives and a demonstration of skills.
