Basic Skills Programs

General Educational Development (GED)/GED Testing

The GED® program is designed for students preparing to take the GED Tests (High School Equivalency Exam). Instructors work with students in planning a program of study to meet individual needs and goals. Students work at their own pace. These classes are free. Books are provided for classroom use.

RCC is approved by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and by the American Council on Education® as a testing center for the General Educational Development Tests. The GED testing center accommodates candidates with special learning disabilities. There is a flexible testing schedule so that persons employed on any shift may test without having to lose time from work. The fee for testing is $7.50. El propósito del programa GED® es preparar estudiantes para tomar las pruebas de GED.  Maestros y estudiantes crean un plan de estudios para satisfacer las necesidades y metas del estudiante.  Cada estudiante trabaja a su paso.  Las clases son gratis.  Libros están disponibles para uso en la clase.

RCC está aprobado por el North Carolina Department of Public Instruction y el American Council on Education® como un centro de examines para el GED examines.  El centro de examines ofrece servicios especiales a los estudiantes con dificultades de aprendizaje.  El horario de examines es flexible, así que personas pueden tomarlos sin perder tiempo de trabajo u otras obligaciones.  El costo de las pruebas es solos $7.50.  Para empezar en el programa de GED, hable con el personal en la recepción y ellos pueden inscribirse en la clase de orientación y las pruebas iníciales.  Desde Enero 2010 y adelante ofrecemos los examines de GED en Español.
