RCC Student Wireless

RCC wireless internet is available to currently enrolled curriculum students on the Asheboro campus. Archdale students will still need to complete a Wireless Agreement Form. Basic Skills/Adult High School Students will need to bring a copy of your printed schedule and photo ID to Computer Services for access.

To access the wireless internet, please follow the steps below:

Windows Vista/Windows 7

1.       Connect to the ARMADILLO_AIR network.  This network does not require an access key, however, you will be required to login in order to authenticate yourself. Go to the Network and Sharing Center on your computer (Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center) and select “Connect to a network” (see below).

 

2.       Open your internet browser and read the network guidelines.

3.       Your Armadillo Wi-Fi Login ID is the same as your CampusCruiser Login ID.  If you do not know your CampusCruiser login ID, please go to http://cruiser.randolph.edu and select “What is my Login ID?”

4.       Your password is your birth date in the following format: MMDDYYYY.

Windows XP

ARMADILLO_AIR

 
 

1.       Connect to the ARMADILLO_AIR network by clicking “Start”, then “Control Panel”, then click on “Wireless Network Setup Wizard”.

2.       In the boxes provided, enter the SSID :  ARMADILLO_AIR  and select “Automatically assign a network key”.

3.       Open your internet browser, read the acceptable use policy displayed.

4.       Your Armadillo Wi-Fi Login ID is the same as your CampusCruiser Login ID.  If you do not know your CampusCruiser login ID, please go to http://cruiser.randolph.edu and select “What is my Login ID?”

5.       Your password is your birth date in the following format: MMDDYYYY.

 

Mac OSX

1.       Connect to the ARMADILLO_AIR network.  (Use Airport Drop) This network does not require an access key, however, you will be required to login in order to authenticate yourself.

2.       Open your internet browser and read the network guidelines.

3.       Your Armadillo Wi-Fi Login ID is the same as your CampusCruiser Login ID.  If you do not know your CampusCruiser login ID, please go to http://cruiser.randolph.edu and select “What is my Login ID?”

6.       Your password is your birth date in the following format: MMDDYYYY.
