In order to take a proficiency exam, a student must be registered and have paid for the course, and have submitted a “Request for Proficiency” form (download here). Please allow at least 2 hours for a test.
Financial Aid: Proficiency testing out of a course is not covered by financial aid. Students who receive credit by proficiency for a course must pay for the course with funds other than Pell grants.
Software Used: Proficiency tests will be taken using Windows 7 Operating System and Microsoft Office 2010. If you are not familiar with this version of the software, we recommend you take the class.
On the day of the exam, you will need to bring a picture ID, a receipt showing you paid for the course and pencils to complete the test.

In order to take the exam, you need to be registered for the course, have submitted a “Request for Proficiency” form (download here), and have fulfilled all the prerequisites.
On the day of the exam, you will need to bring a picture ID, a receipt showing you paid for the course and pencils to complete the test.
