Alumni Committee:

The Alumni are passionate about their college, willing to give back, and want to see their college grow and thrive. The mission of the RCC Alumni Committee is to create a vibrant, active alumni program for the College to implement. This committee will be responsible for locating alumni, developing a communication program, planning events and ultimately developing an RCC Alumni Association.

Curriculum Committee:

The Curriculum Committee reviews and assesses policies and makes program revision recommendations to the Vice President for Instructional Services.

Cultural Arts Committee:

The Cultural Arts Committee plans and coordinates cultural arts events intended to provide enrichment and entertainment to our students and to the greater community.

Distance Education Committee:

The Distance Eduacation Committee works collabratively with the Distance Education Department to evaluate best practices, tools, technologies, instructional and design rubrics to support the College's mission by providing high quality distance education courses.

Energy Conservation & Green Initiative Committee:

The Energy Conservation and Green Initiative Committee leads Randolph Community College in efforts to improve energy efficiency, increease recycling efforts and educate our campus community on how to reduce our carbon footprint. We will strive to raise awareness, educate and promote innovative conservation methods and communicate our effectiveness. The committee will support the staff, faculty and students as they embrace the energy initiative and actively engage in conservation measures which will lead us to a healthier tomorrow.

Enrollment Management Committee:

The Enrollment Management Committee plans, coordinates, and implements a comprehensive enrollment management process for the College by setting enrollment management goals and coordinating the development of planned outcomes with each department to meet the stated goals. The committee also recommends marketing, promotional, and advertising activities in support of the College's vision, mission, values and strategic priorities.

Graduation Committee:

The Graduation Committee is responsible for overseeing the organiztion of the College's annual curriculum and basic skills graduation exercises. The committee plans the components of graduation consisting of: the facility, programs, graduates, practice sessions, and volunteers. The committee, in conjunction with the Social Committee coordinates the graduation receptions.

Health/Wellness Committee:

The Health and Wellness committee establishes and maintains an atmosphere at Randolph Community College which will foster enviornmental and social support for a healthy lifestyle.

Institutional Effectiveness/Strategic Planning Committee:

The Institutional Effectiveness Committee provides ongoing oversight of College activities, processes and procedures related to the effectiveness of the College in fulfilling its mission. The committee serves as a forum for the review, assessment, and discussion of institutional effectiveness issues including assessment of institutional efforts in planning, instructional programs, evaluation and and the use of results to improve the institution. This committee will serve as a think tank group to indentify program ideas for contiunuing education and curiculum. This committee will conduct research on generated program  ideas to determine the feasibility of implementation. Program ideas with high feasibility will then be presented to the Senior Leadership Team for consideration.

Marketing Committee:

The Marketing Committee serves as an advisory committee to the Office of College Marketing. The committee provides input into the development, implementation and coordination of marketing plans and campaigns.

Professional Development Committee:

The Professional Development Committee assesses, identifies, and communicates the professional development needs of the Collge employees. The committee ensures equitable distribution of state professional development funds to all areas of the College and coordinates, schedules and conducts professional development classes and/or workshops for employees. It also reviews and assesses policies and procedurs related to attracting and retaining motivated and competent employees.

Quality Enhancement Project Oversight Committee:

The QEP OVersight Committee will function in an adviosry capacity to the QEP Director. The committee will meet quarterly to discuss the progress of the QEP, review communication efforts to faculty and staff about the QEP, provide input into the implementation of the QEP, and address any issues that may arise. The committee may meet with the Instituitional Effectiveness/Strategic Planning Committee as necessary.

Safety Committee:

The Safety Committee reviews and assesses policies and procedures that support a safe learning and work enviornment and coordinates necessary College-wide drills on a regular basis.

Social Committee:

The Social Committee is responsible for planning College-wide social events within the budget allotted for each event. (ex. Holiday lunches/parties, graduation receptions, receptions for new SLT employees, individual receptions for retirees (unless the retiree declines).

Student Leadership Committee:

The Student Leadership Committee plans and implements the annual Student Leadership Academy. Activities include session planning, sponsorship solicitation, recruitment of applicants, orientation of those selected, hosting of sessions and evaluation of the academy.

Technology Committee:

The Technology Committee must commit and adopt technological innovation through a commitment of support, time, software, hardware, and resources. The Technology committee assists in outlining a program for continuing professional development in the area of technology; develops and recommends software/hardware purchases; and establishes the framework for continued technological advancement in teaching and learning practices. This will be accomplished through developing the RCC Technology Plan.
