Associate in Arts, Fine Arts and Science (AA/AFA/AS) Community Colleges offer college transfer programs through the AA, AFA and AS degrees. The AA and the AS programs are part of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA). The CAA addresses the transfer of students between institutions in the N. C. Community College System and the constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina. Many independent colleges and universities endorse the CAA.
